Hello!!

Heyyyy over there 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 I’m Karissa!

There are lots of new and friendly faces around here so I thought it might be the perfect time to tell you a little bit about ME! Especially if you’re new here and we’ve just met!

So here are 5 fun facts:

1. I grew up in Northern California in a small, granite mining town called Rocklin (about 20 minutes north of Sacramento). My childhood is filled with “Mayberry” memories of roaming freely, trampling through creek beds with my best friend, following train tracks, riding my bicycle everywhere and sleeping under the stars on hot summer nights. I definitely think that growing up in a small town where everything felt safe and I was free to roam has fed into my adventurous spirit as an adult. I love to travel.

2. My favorite movie is The Cutting Edge (original with DB Sweeney and Moira Kelly) I’ve quoted it word for word since the 2nd grade! #toepick

3. I’m one of 3 kids – the only girl and middle child! (My brothers will tell you that that was a recipe for disaster 😀) All 3 of us were born in less than 3 years – and while that was often WW3 growing up, we have a ton of fun together as adults. We communicate largely through movie lines and Seinfeld quotes.

4. I learned to drive a manual (4 speed) in a turquoise ‘69 VW beetle without breaks 🚙 I’ve had a love affair with Volkswagens ever since.

5. I’m a Military Spouse and a ☀️Happiness Advocate☀️🌴😀 I help women, moms, fellow milspouses and lady entrepreneurs set BOUNDARIES with social media and technology so that they can experience calmness, clarity, balance, and more HAPPY moments in their own lives. Happiness with their partners, their children, family + friends, and most importantly – with THEMSELVES. You can read a more about my own journey toward emotional wellness and social media/technology balance here on my blog!

So if you’ve made it this far 😉 I’d love to know – do we have anything in common??? Tell me in the comments below!
